SUMMARY

The Elizabeth Nóvum Award is intended to highlight exemplary and exemplary initiatives. The competition recognises one organisation’s project, based on a combined assessment of three key areas: innovation, cooperation and volunteering.

OBJECTIVES

The aim of the competition is to raise awareness of the existence of innovative initiatives based on cooperation and voluntary activities that target young people and involve them. It also aims to recognise communities, groups and organisations that are willing to act selflessly for the benefit of their immediate or wider environment and the people around them.

CONTEXT AND BACKGROUND

They recognise that more people want to do something for their smaller communities, their wider environment and those around them, but they don’t have the financial means to do it.

IMPLEMENTATION: ACTIVITIES AND METHODOLOGIES

  • The project is an innovative activity based on cooperation between different social actors.

  • The project targets young people, in the interest and with the involvement of young people, with the aim of improving their living conditions.

  • The programme is based on volunteering and the involvement of the local community (especially young people and disadvantaged young people).

  • Promotes and presents activities for the benefit of others and for social well-being, as defined by volunteering.

  • It is a movement for and about people, building a community that builds a community of those who take part and those who enjoy it afterwards the result of it.

  • The amount of the prize is 1.000.000 HUF, which is a financial contribution to the nominated organisation. The grant can only be used for the realisation of the project presented in the application and for the costs of the event, campaign, event, programme/programme series planned there.

PROJECT OUTCOMES & LESSONS LEARNED

The beneficiaries of the grant have been able to support and strengthen their youth organisations and continue their work with even greater effectiveness.

IMPACT

The financial contribution to the work of youth organisations has helped to make their work more sustainable, innovative and reach more young people.
Young people were involved during the grant, which means that they were the beneficiaries of the assistance.
