ΣΤΟΧΟΙ

The main objectives are:

  • To make the world a better place to live by saving alot of tons Co2 Emissions by collecting and selling them.

  • To make the lives of thousands of people a better lifestyle by achieving the circular economy.

  • Creating work for people with extra needs who find it difficult to get a job Example, people with physical health problems (any disability) ,mental health problems , previous convicts and for volunteering.

So the main is after all the sustainability that they do by collecting almost 30 million kilos of textiles and household goods each year and giving more than 2000 people a workplace.

ΠΛΑΙΣΙΟ ΚΑΙ ΥΠΟΒΑΘΡΟ

Bob Crébas and his wife Carla Wobma were two of the people who planted the first seed for Het Goed in 1992.

The two are already 66 and 65 years old, but still have the energy and enthusiasm of a couple in their thirties. You immediately understand why they were the right people in 1992 to set up the Netherlands’ very first national organization of recycling activities and employment.
They are bursting with ideas, know how to continuously motivate others and are hard workers. Moreover, it has always been their mission to leave a better world behind. Cycles and recycling are an essential part of this.
Although the first Het Goed store was opened in Deventer twenty-five years ago, Bob and Carla’s thrift store history goes back another ten years. In 1982 they started their first thrift store Goedzooi in Emmeloord. They opened Goedzooi with a bunch of other unemployed volunteers.
Not everyone was immediately convinced of the usefulness of thrift stores and the reuse of old items. Carla: “When we opened the Goedzooi store, some people reacted sternly: ‘Well, that won’t work.’”

They didn’t consider what people threw away as rubbish. That was really good. That is how the name for the store came about.
Within a few years, Goedzooi grew from an unemployment project into a successful wage-setting company. And got a new name Het Goed.

ΥΛΟΠΟΙΗΣΗ: ΔΡΑΣΕΙΣ ΚΑΙ ΜΕΘΟΔΟΛΟΓΙΕΣ

One of the innovations is social media. They promote a lot and attract a lot of people with social media google is the biggest one there. They have a lot of information background and data analytics. Also social media like Instagram they use it to attract young adults by making videos and styling the products.

The resources needed for this was the government help as the local authority helped to connect people to the workplace especially those with special needs.

ANBI Het Goed has been designated by the tax authorities as a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI). To obtain this status, an organization must be transparent. That is why various data have been made public since July 2018. The relevant information must be stated on a website that is accessible to everyone. In addition, the financial data of the relevant foundation must be included in the trade register of the Chamber of Commerce.

ΑΝΤΙΚΤΥΠΟΣ

The impact on the local community was good the people really liked the idea and it influenced their life made it easier especially for people with low income and for people who love vintage and loves to shop all the time. Also they educated the community for example by going to schools and telling the story and make people aware when buying new products or when throwing their old products.

As the involvement of young people was like a I said above Het goed did really good by going to almost every school and they educated the young people about second hand, sustainability, recycling and gave the students opportunity to do their internship their for alot of studies even for teenagers from the secondary school. One of the things that the youth did was making new bags from the recycled textiles and selling them for 17,99.
