About Me
| Short Bio | I am an interior designer who has completed a master’s degree in Interior Architecture, thinking across disciplines and developing projects with both academic and social impact. Throughout my education, I have advocated for spatial design to be approached not only aesthetically but also in its social, cultural, and sensory dimensions. This perspective has guided both my academic research and practical applications. My master’s thesis focused on acoustic comfort in educational spaces, allowing me to analyze the relationship between user experience, spatial awareness, and the physical environment in depth. Aligned with my goal of advancing in academia, I aim to situate design-oriented research within a framework that is sustainable, accessible, and culturally contextualized. Beyond academia, I have actively contributed to numerous socially impactful projects addressing cultural heritage, memory spaces, women’s representation, and public space design. As the founder of the “Hafıza Mekanları Kahramanmaraş” project, I lead an initiative centered on post-earthquake urban memory, digital archiving, and cultural continuity, prioritizing local participation. Additionally, through “Harmony Creative Hub,” I strive to create a creative, inclusive, and inspiring community for young professionals in architecture and design. My professional experience is further enriched by award-winning projects at national and international levels, design internships, my role as a board member at the Izmir Branch of the Chamber of Interior Architects (TMMOB), and lectures delivered across various platforms. Today, as an interior architect and researcher, I pursue the balance between academic scholarship, design research, cultural interaction, creative production, and social benefit. I am open to interdisciplinary collaborations, project partnerships, and education- and design-based production processes. |
