SUMMARY
The project aims to empower young people, aged 10-18, to actively engage in their communities by identifying needs, organizing actions, and reflecting on their impact. The programme promotes civic responsibility and community improvement through various projects and events. Activities include researching community needs, developing action plans, and executing projects that address local issues.
OBJECTIVES

CONTEXT AND BACKGROUND
It was developed to addressing issues such as youth disengagement, lack of civic responsibility, and the need for skill development. It aimed to empower youth to identify and tackle local social issues, contributing to community improvement through structured activities and projects.
IMPLEMENTATION: ACTIVITIES AND METHODOLOGIES
Researching community needs, developing and executing action plans, and participating in the Foróige Youth Citizenship Awards. It uses innovative methodologies like youth-led project planning and community engagement exercises. The programme requires financial support, trained facilitators, volunteers, and technical resources such as planning tools and communication platforms. Partners and stakeholders include local communities, educational institutions, and government agencies, each playing roles in providing support, resources, and recognition to the participants.
PROJECT OUTCOMES & LESSONS LEARNED
The Foróige Youth Citizenship Programme has enhanced civic engagement among youth, the development of leadership and project management skills, and community improvement projects. Participants have contributed to their communities through initiatives, such as environmental cleanups and social awareness campaigns.
